Who We Are
CourseHorse runs interactive private group events built for team building, communication and camaraderie: trivia, escape rooms, cooking, creative arts and more, delivered both virtually and in person. We have been connecting people to great experiences since 2012.
Our hosts are the people who make those events work. You are the one running the room: setting the energy, keeping the game moving, and making sure everyone leaves glad they showed up.
How Hosting Works
Most of our events run virtually, over Zoom, Teams or Google Meet. We also run in person events around New York City, so hosts who can travel to client venues get more work.
What You Would Run
- Trivia nights, escape rooms, lego builds and other team building games for company groups.
- Prepare the materials and equipment, then facilitate the event start to finish and keep it running on time.
- Work with our planning team to tailor events to what the client asked for, and share feedback afterward.
Who Tends To Do Well
- People with a background in entertainment, comedy, improv, acting or performing arts.
- Strong public speakers who are comfortable leading groups of any size and can improvise when a plan goes sideways.
- Organized, reliable and punctual, and at home on video conferencing tools.

Why Host With Us
You pick your schedule. Events are offered to you ahead of time and you take the ones that work. Most hosts fit this around another job, school, or their own creative practice.
No lesson planning. The agenda, materials, and partner venue are arranged before you arrive. You run the day, not the prep work behind it.
Competitive per event rates. Pay is based on experience and stated in each posting, so you know what an event pays before you accept it.
Real variety. Trivia, escape rooms, cooking, creative arts. A month of hosting rarely looks the same twice, and you meet a lot of people doing it. You also get to join any of our events for free.
What We Look For
- Experience in entertainment, comedy, improv, acting or performing arts.
- Exceptional communication and public speaking, and the confidence to lead groups of any size.
- Comfort with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, since most events run virtually.
- Reliable, punctual and professional. Clients are counting on someone being there, on time, ready to go.
Where We Hire
Most events are delivered virtually, so hosts can run them from anywhere in the United States. We also deliver in person events around New York City, and we look for hosts based in Manhattan or Brooklyn who are willing to travel to client venues. Each posting lists what it covers.
